I told you Felger is in rehab since losing the ESPN gig.
Wrong has officially taken over the original (Mannix) reportcard and nary a snide comment. Patriots Report Card - BostonHerald.com It's almost as if to some extent as the young guns in the media kvetch about backup QB's the old guard has rallied round the team somewhat supportively. |

I felt for a while that Felger can offer some intelligent insight when he puts down his contrarian-on-the-radio hat. Maybe there is hope after all. And if I didn't know Borges' history, I'd consider him to be worth listening to an reading also.

a report card?
does he think of himself to be some kind of teacher thatissues report cards? When has he ever taught anyone in the Patriots organization anything? ![]() good report or bad ... ..... the title makes me think Mr. Felger is rather presumptuous IMO. |

Felger's Borges Jr. character was just that. He played a character for the radio to drum up rating for his show. He learned from the "best". Borges realized that he could write the best articles in the world, but if they toed the party line they were forgotten after they were read. When he became the Pats/Belichick hater, everyone talked about his articles. Felger learned from that.
Now that Felger doesn't have to carry a radio show or sell newspapers, he is moving back to his pre-ESPN days where he was fair and balanced and brought a lot of intelligent insight. In 2001 through 2004, he was where Mike Reiss is now in terms of respect and popularity. |

BTW, Felger did point out something that has concerned me this last season and gone relatively unspoken. What has happened to Logan Mankins? I know the right side of the line gets all the negative attention from the media and the fans, but Mankins has been downright mediocre this year at least in pass protection.

These report cards are ridiculous - how do you give the secondary such a high grade, yet fail but fail O'Neal? The secondary tightned up the second half no doubt - but it does not erase the bad first half play.
Cassell's grade is too high. He says that Casell has no "pocket presence" - and why should he? Um - because it's professional football and he's been practicing and preparing forever and quite frankly I donlt give a rats azz anymore that he hasn't played since high school. Also, I have no doubt that his new "attitude" is mandated/scripted. |
