I would say that the chance of pulling Cassel because of us blowing them out is about the same as me finding a leprechaun's pot of gold.

Brady wasn't pulled in many blowouts last year.

Cassel could use the confidence boost from blowing ANYONE out, so pulling him would not be advantageous in my opinion.

So no.... as much as some may wish for O'Connell to take the field for any reason.... you will not see him do so short of another QB injury or a complete flop performance from Matt - which I do not expect.

But there is a difference. If Brady went down, the Patriots had a backup with years of experience in the system. If Cassel goes down, we'll be watching either a rookie 3rd round pick or an undrafted 2nd year man who couldn't make the roster out of camp.

Some of you in here need to get your heads on straight,The question was IF NE was to blowout Miami - No one said it was a sure thing BUT it IS a possible scenerio which is not out of the realm of possibility since Arizona spanked them last week

Are some of you saying Arizona is a better team than NE or are you just going to give us the BS of "Well,Duh the Dolphins always play us tight" or "Duh,The Dolphins are a division team that knows us well"

Both of those retarded opinions mentioned above mean squat - The Dolphins suck and if you don't think there is a possibility of a blowout this weekend then you think NE will pull out all their wins by less than 5 points because it don't get any easier than playing the worst team in the league at Gillette

If you rely on NE pulling out close wins all season then you better be prepared for missing the playoffs because Cassel in a close game going down to the wire would cause numbness let alone winning most of them - This is where Brady was best in the league at it winning the close ones and besides P. Manning this year, there are no other QBs I would be confident in on a regular basis in winning a lot of close games.

I'm glad that there were no serious injuries and both teams have a little time to recuperate.

Good game guys.

Wow OP, you must have a crystal ball at home; not only was it a blowout, BUT, Cassel was pulled and did not play all four quarters.

Go out and immediately put down 100 clams in your state lottery dude, you are on fire.

Oh wait; you predicted a PATRIOTS blowout of the ***** azz worst team in football Doofins?

Nevermind.

Upon reflection, the thread title topic did not mean what I thought it meant. Bummer.
