Default Is BB mad at Maroney? Was Eckel signed as a warning to Maroney?

Why do you think Eckel was re-signed?

Because he's made of glass and does the c-walk for 3 seconds after he touches the ball.... doh!

The Eckel signing is strictly a special teams move as touched upon on a thread yesterday:
Pats re-sign Eckel, cut Spach, swap Dillard and Malone on PS

BB has Morris, Faulk and Jordan on the roster so if he wanted to send Maroney a message all he would have to do was not activate him or park his rear on the bench. He wouldn't need to sign a FB/ST player to "warn" him.

Maybe he decided Hanson played well enough to get rid of malone.

Maybe Maroney's injury is enough to cause BB to put Eckel on the PS to have another RB available.

Maybe Eckel found those infamous pictures of BB that Ken Walter had for so long.

I doubt very much that BB signed Eckel to the PS as a warning to Maroney that he needed to step it up.

I think the message was sent in the 4th quarter when Maroney ran it for one play for negative yards and was pulled from the game.

Eckel is on the active roster not the PS.

I did think it was kinda curious that they were going on and on about Maroney being hurt and return was doubtful; and that LaMont Jordon was busting yards up and down the field, and then all of a sudden Maroney seems ok and is back in there.

I think he was questionable and they wanted to see how he was...NO biggie...Jordam Morris, Maroney, Faulk..they will ALL contribute at tiems. This game was more Jordan late..and Faulk with big plays...Eckel was in because of Alexander and possibly Woods...esp EA...a calf injury is tough. THAT was the reason why.

Maybe they should have sent that message to Dan Koppen instead. Kris Jenkins pushed him a yard or two past the LOS before Maroney even touched the ball. LoMo had just enough time to secure the ball before Jenkins rag-dolled Koppen right into him and took them both down, 2 for 1 ala AD's sack.
