Default Pats vs. Miami 9/21

What are people’s thoughts/concerns about this game? It looks like Vegas thinks this will be a blowout for the Pats but as we all know they usually play us tough, my guess for Cassel’s stats will be 248 yards 2 TD’s 0 INT’s

Prediction for game score is
Pats: 31
Miami 14

Player of the game: Randy Moss

I don't care about the "they always play us tough" thing. That was the old Dolphins with Taylor, Thomas, etc. I'd like to think we can win this one comfortably - if we don't we have problems.

I like your 31, but I'm thinking more along the lines of something like this-

Pats- 34
Fools- 9

Miami blows. Noodle arm couldn't beat the Pats when he played for the Jesters, and he has considerably less talent around him now(as hard as that is to believe).

I like your call on Cassel's stats too. I think this week is an opportunity to turn him loose and let him build his confidence throwing the ball. I think he throws for 2, Jordan or Morris run 1 in, and the defense or ST gets one.

Hm. I'm thinking if the Jets could only get 10, the Dolphins getting 14 would be pretty amazing. That said, I think Penny's a better QB. We might get him down a whole lot more, though.

I think it needs to be the game we remember as Cassel testing his wings, esp. in Moss' direction if the defense ever allows for it.

I really have no idea who's on that team anymore, haha.

I think Kurt Warner exposed the Miami Secondary (Farve did as well, but his crap looks like desperation rather than play calling). Prepare for the entire Dolphins secondary to get Moss'd.

A lot has to happen to hold a team to 10 points. I don't think you can really say that it would amazing for a team to score 14 points in a game. It just doesn't take that much to happen to get to 14.

Look at the last game for example. The Jets missed a 30 yard FG. The Jets couldn't score on first down from the 3. And we had +20 yards of field position on average. So just because they scored 10 doesn't mean it's impossible for another team to get 14. It's only really one drive and one big play.

And I think the 2nd part of your statement is ridiculous.

BTW - I'll be heading up to the Game on Sunday. Flying out of the ATL on Saturday and will staying downtown Boston at the Millennium Bostonian Hotel (If anyone can give me some info on that Hotel I would appreciate it, it's my first time staying there).

I need a good bar to watch the Georgia/Arizona game as well, any suggestions around the hotel are greatly appreciated!

According to Wikipedia:
Among NFL quarterbacks with at least 1,500 pass attempts, Chad Pennington's 65.3 career completion percentage ranks best all-time.
He is also 3 points ahead on his career passer rating, though with the time gap, maybe that doesn't mean a lot.

I'll say that Brett puts up some impressive fumble numbers though, he wins there hands down.

Great hotel, I believe it is located right in Faneuil Hall which has a bunch of great bars in the area
