That's why we haven't brought in a veteran to replace Brady, we're going to rely on the system/foundation to carry the team through. What are you gonna rely on in 2009 or worse 2010 when Brett's finally content mowing the lower 40? Same thing you've been relying on since Eric took over from Herm who took over from Groh who ran for the hills just a year after he took over from Tuna after BB said no thanks who ended Rich Kotite's 2 year run that followed Pete Carroll's one year gig... jeez, and that's just the last decade. 40 years of nearly unabated mediocrity doesn't happen for nothing... It happens because you never invest the time an effort to build a foundation.

Peter King is on WEEI now and they're talking with him about the situation in Tennessee. He is reiterating how the decision to draft Young was owner driven - by an owner from Houston who resents the hell out of the Texans and what he feels was done for them to become franchise owners in his home town while he had to buy a team in another area. And how he took the guy all his country club cronies in Houston wanted the Texans to take. And how beating them matters more to him that anything else that happens all season. Sounds familiar...
Two Words: Brett Ratliff, I think he can be our QB of the future. What your basically saying is we should have just stuck w/ Clemens or Penny b/c they are more familiar with the offense then Favre probably will ever be. Correct?

Ok, but don't you think saving the $$$ and keeping Penny (and some players happy) for another year to add to all your new toys would have been a safer bet to up the number of W's?

I have a feeling that at the end of the year Chad has more TD's and less Picks than Brett.
