I know Brady is probably the best QB of all time and the chances of Cassel ever reaching his level are slim. But anything is possible. I think most coaches would keep Brady and trade Cassel. But with BB I am not so sure. His brilliance is in his ability to treat it like a business and not get emotional.
if cassel would be as good as brady we wouldve seen it in 4yrs of preseason and BB wouldve seen it too. Brady wont go anywhere ,whatever cassell does.

Put cassell behind caldwell and gaffeney and doug gabriel and see what happens.
BB is businessminded , but i read his interview on sportingnews this week and he was asked about brady and he said "let his career play out but he is the best football player he has coached ever"
they are closer than people think inspite of BB's robotic demeanor

the guy said imagine...

I think if BB thinks that cassel is the equivalent of brady, he trades brady...

LOL, if BB thinks that Cassel can do that and he is that much younger, he will sign him to a smaller deal then the one brady has, and will ship brady off for at LEAST 2 1st rounders...

I know we're supposed to humor you, but damn those are some awesome stats! 30/15 w/SB43 MVP thrown in? Yikes!

With those stats? I think Brady comes back to the Back-up role while getting back into shape or maybe an intentional 2 QB rotation.

Be tough to pass on a rebuild when you have 5ish years newer model sitting there.

Odds are if he even has something heading for a .500 season, the Pat's resign him early.

I say if he get's close to 30-15, we trade him, his stock will never be higher. Then we let the next guy take over......

Ok I just saw something that says after 3 years of service they are restricted Free Agents but after 4 years they are unrestricted. So the Pats would have to see resign Cassel this year for any of my imaginary dreamland to occur?

Couldn't we also franchise him and then trade him?

For the record I would stick with Brady but thats my heart speaking. I do however think that next year we are going to be able to get something for Cassel. I don't know why but I just think the kid is going to do well. I'm envisioning a Matt Schaub type of situation.

the Pats already won the SB? I know it feels like February outside, but I'm pretty sure I have yet to even eat my turkey yet?
