This is the worst week for injuries I remember.

My thoughts after week 1 are that New England, Indy, Jacksonville and San Diego have all taken a step back.

I don't yet see a team that looks ready to challenge that big 4. The Bills and Jets are exciting, to their fans, but can they really go deep into the playoffs.

Even with all these injuries and all this uninspired play from the big time contenders, I don't see things playing out much differently than we expected before yesterday.

i think pitt has the talent to challenge, because of their great looking front 7, and the talent they possess on offense.

Of course all fans will support and root for him, but let's be realistic. This isn't the second coming of Tom Brady. However, Belichick isn't injured. Our boys will be ready.

This game will be fun. I hope Brady is there cheering on the sidelines.

The difference is that Brady calmly calls audibles while Manning flaps like a chicken, barks 11 code words, and makes sure every camera in the stadium has documented his once-in-a-generation (and patented, I believe) ability to see a defensive formation and change the play. Both have the same effect, but Manning transcends measurable human intellect while Brady merely chooses a different play.

Watch Cassel light it up all year and then leave to go to the Jets in 2009.

As far as fan (or media) reactions go, it just doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is what happens on the field and in that regard, the Patriots are still a very good team.
