Default Globe piece on Brady

http://www.boston.com/sports/footbal..._a_gilded_age/

An article that concludes a pejorative and a value judgment based on scant evidence with no direct access to or real information about the subject. And they say journalism isn't dead.

Yea but, compare that to the Herald article on Brady authored by Enemy #1. A writer who falsely accused the Patriots of cheating on the eve of the biggest game is going to have insight on Brady's condition.

Why did they even waste the time it took to type and post that speculative crap?

The most interesting thing about that was that Tom Brady likes orange soda.

You'd have to know Bob Halloran and his chip on the shoulder split personality to get why that story was written. Like so many of the fringe media who get to cover this team, and he actually gets to work on All Access and guest on the radio by virtue of being a weekend sports anchor for Channel 5..., these former print guys resent that players and coaches have gotten bigger than the media who cover them. So periodically they dress them down for getting farther ahead than any of them have. Like if ESPN tapped Halloran to replace Boomer and gave him a multi million dollar contract he'd still be eating with us at the local Subway...

It's the pressure to pay the mortgage in the Back Bay (Felger) or Wellesley (Maz) that drives these guys to attack the hand that feeds them. The same hand that without which many of them would be working in some other market today if employed in the field at all.

very insightful:

"I would have liked to have seen him in at least one preseason game," said Mercer, a grocery manager at the Fruit Center Marketplace in Milton, where Brady liked to shop before his life changed.

I mean did anyone know this before? Even like some of those guys with 16000 posts probably didnt know Mercer at the Fruit Center in Milton wanted to see him in a pre-season game. Investigative reporting. Excellent.

Thank god for Alice Cook on CBS-4. Because of her I know that Brady stopped and talked to the security guard this AM and patted his dog, so at least he's not quite yet a total a-hole...

Tony lives in Belmont, not Wellesley.
