Bryant sucks as we will see in another week or two- There has got to be a JAG for some competition in cuts this week, even if its not Manning Jr.

Hobbs and Bryant as starting corners on this team could make all of a mans hair fall out, although right now I am not so sure Hobbs will blow this year.
You don't have to tell me, I know all about it, tell guys like Sicilian who are so drunk on the BB Koolaid they believe Bryant is the answer.

You sound like you're the one with the Madden 09 based on your comments. But wait, because BB signed Bryant, HE MUST BE GOOD RIGHT ? I mean, he's had all of 7 picks in 9 years of NFL work, Terry Glenn will do that math for you, that equates to a little under 1 pick per season, .6888 something like that. And ya, what am I thinking. Bryant was fantastic in these 3 pre-season games. Truly Lock-down like.
Because I haven't noticed Briz taking EVERY opportunity to slam all of our corners in every thread.

Couple things. One, I don't think he's a pro-bowler by any means, but I also don't think you NEED pro-bowlers at CB to win super bowls. See Moreland, Earthwind. Also, I don't think our CBs were put in the best position to succeed in the preseason. Will they suddenly become shutdown? No. But they're going to be better, I can almost guarantee you that.

Second thing, 7 picks in 9 years is .777777 per season. Pet peeve But regardless, just like sacks alone don't reflect a great lineman, INTs don't reflect a great CB. They DO, however, make the CB cost a lot more money.

Yes, because the number of interceptions one has is always key to how good they really are.. it doesn't matter whether they actually threw at that person or not.

Manning - 19 passes defensed.
Bryant - 54 passes defensed.

Which one is better again????

It would seem to me that Manning is a boom or bust type player who takes too many chances.

"It appears clear that Drew had nothing to do with the beating and just happened to be standing nearby."

Sounds fishy to me.

Even if that is so, which the powers who be have determined - the fact the guy didn't try to stop the beating and was most likely cheering his scum of a friend on is just as disturbing.

I was being sarcastic, as in there wasn't any evidence at all. It was a throwaway statement "Manning is better than Bryant" without anything to back it up.

Vasher is still the starting CB it dont matter that he was injured he would be the starting CB this season and Manning would still be 3rd or nickle on the depth chart. When Vasher went down early in the season Manning didnt step in for long, they went with McBride soon after which pissed Manning off. You dont show a lack of talent in a few games when your history as a solid corner shows you can play. They just went in another direction and like i said its hard to put up stats as a nickle corner.

Manning is still a good CB, he was let go because of a bad relationship with the front office.

That's the same direction the Lions went in when they released Bryant. Only he was starting for them, not playing nickel.

Did Bryant have a bad relationship with the front office?
