It's OK to be wrong on occasion. He's lost 3 fumbles. It's hardly an epidemic.

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
RT @BAMA_FAN13: With Pats releasing Lloyd, do they have eyes on other WRs? ... Imagine if Pats starters were Amendola and Emmanuel Sanders.

Interesting response. I get the sense that Schefter knows that the Pats are going to eventually make an offer to Sanders, timing still unknown at this point. There is a reason that he gets so much inside info....teams trust him.

I think it's generally accepted for the moment that we are waiting on Pitt to spend money to lower the requirements to sign Sanders.

As Coach Belichick once said, "Football players play football." Injuries are apart of the game and can happen to anyone anywhere on or off the football field.

Having depth in the emergency of injury is the only real contingency plan teams can have against it.

I'm good with this:

1. Sanders
2. Amendola
3. 1st/2nd round rookie
4. Jones/Edelman
5. Jones/Edelman

To Schefter's snide comment, the WR core has been worse with definitely worse upside the last 3 years.

2012:

1. Welker
2. Lloyd (overrated #2 WR)
3. Branch (useless)

2011:

1. Welker
2. Branch (below average #2 WR)
3. Ochocinco (useless)

2010:

1. Welker
2. Branch (average #2 WR)
3. Tate (useless)

I can definitely see Sanders be better than 2010/2011 Branch and 2012 Lloyd. It lies on Amendola to stay healthy and be 75% of Wes.

Steve Smith is getting too old at this point to pay him big money, plus im sure he'll want to finish his career in Carolina at this point and continue to help mentor Cam Newton.

They're not trading for a WR
