He writes this blurb like it is some indictment of the Patriots and Brady. They're playing by the rules, and are smart enough to know how to make the rules work for them.

The question is why can't other teams work out cap-friendly deals and extensions from time to time? The Patriots have hit a few walls over the years, but when push comes to shove, most of their top guys get what they need to stick around.

Terrible reporting.

At what point does "testing the evidence" in journalism become a straight out hatchet job.

It reflects poorly on US sports media that Florio is considered (when looking at his outlet) a credible source of football opinion.
