Gambling is a HUGE biz.
Let the Pats go to the superbowl again, or, make history with 2 brothers?... hmmmm
Ratings and gambling are huge for all sports.
The fix is in!

Re: The new norm: winning inspite of the refs and drops
JUST for the sake of argument, (haha) ;lets say the AFCCG was fixed for the Ravens. then which were the events that swayed the game?
- which calls by the refs changed the game?
- was welker in on it? or Brady?
and PS have you noticed that there are a lot of family deaths amongst and player deaths in the news. i dont hve a catalog of them, but there seem prevalent. could players be receiving threatening "messages" to play a certain way. certainly not unthinkable......

I think a big part of it for me is I'm frustrated and maybe I'm a sore loser. I'm still not sure that Ridley fumble was truly a fumble. I don't remember everything exactly but I want to say there was a pass interference call on us that they probably should have let go. On the flip side, there were some calls that weren't made that we should have got.

Reason: fixed quote
The new norm: winning inspite of the refs and drops
The Ravens were holding on both sides of the ball the entire game and nobody cared.
In my opinion the games aren't called consistently once you hit the championship games and the super bowl. He other factor is that emotion and energy play a bigger part T that level and can trump a more skilled opponent.
I do think all the close super bowls recently are pretty fishy.

This is another thing that baffles me about people like you. What you're saying simply makes no sense.
If the NFL wanted to fix the outcome for maximum ratings, the Ravens are the LAST team they would have gone with. Nobody (outside ESPN) gave a crap about the coaches being brothers. They would have wanted Denver-NE in the AFCCG and either one of those choices would have been better than Baltimore in the Super Bowl.

you still go beserk accosting me with "that's a horrible analogy!!!!!"...WTF is it with you??? you must be the "I'm always 100% right about everything and if you disagree anything you say is horrible!!!!" internet Einstein.
Believe what you want...99% of the educated ruling classes of Europe believed the earth was flat in 1450.....and used the exact same denunciation YOU just gave me.
Another horrible analogy, which only further demonstrates the bankrupcy of your contention (not to mention that your analogy is 100% false; people in the 1400's knew the Earth was round).
Thing is, you obviously aren't even understanding what I am saying. I'm not saying I am right and you are wrong (even though that is certainly the case). What I'm saying is: If you're right and the games are rigged, why are you even bothering to watch them and be a fan of the league in the first place?
That's a question no one in here has answered yet, even though I have asked it several times.

will you please (Please be quiet - edited) with your arrogant dismissiveness, you idiot....flat earthers have been around as late as the 18th century....
I only wish you were alive and running your mouth in the 1400's...I'd enjoy listening to your screams as you were burned at the stake for heresy.Myself, I'd take the same path that Copernicus and Galileo took and keep my mouth shut about any geocentric arguments that run counter to the holy mother church.

you must be a sub-mongoloid in a meat suit.....why do people watch?...because the NFL is entertaining.
People watch events because they are entertained by them....how many times does this need to be repeated before your get it, Rufus? I guess we should all "not bother" and just do things exactly like YOU, the moron dictator of absolute certainties, demands.

No foolin', and there are idiots alive today who think we have never stepped foot on the moon. There are also idiots around today who think the folks in the Middle Ages believed the Earth was flat.
You said "99% of the educated ruling classes of Europe believed the earth was flat in 1450." That statement is 100% untrue. Don't get mad at me when all I did was accurately call out your ignorance.
"The idea that educated men at the time of Columbus believed that the earth was flat, and that this belief was one of the obstacles to be overcome by Columbus before he could get his project sanctioned, remains one of the hardiest errors in teaching."
"The myth that people in the Middle Ages thought the earth is flat appears to date from the 17th century as part of the campaign by Protestants against Catholic teaching."

Galileo was charged with heresy for saying the Earth was not the center of the universe. Everyone knew the Earth was round.

What is so entertaining about watching a competition with a pre-determined outcome? Why come in here and discuss what happened, and stats and stuff.

How do you account for the fact that if the NFL were fixed there would be so many people involved that someone would have spoken up by now, especially the players that were 'forced' to lose.
