Yeah, not being over this loss doesn't mean I don't totally appreciate the last 12 years. Nut is correct; they've been ridiculously unbelievable and it's so awesome to be a Patriots fan.

Still, last Sunday was a punch squarely in the gonads.

If you would have told me eight days ago that the Pats would get pasted by the Ravens on one Sunday and the Celts would be the Heat without Rondo in their second consecutive double OT game on the next Sunday, I would have thought you were smoking crack.

That's why they play the damn games....

Congrats on the 5k, Mike!

Yes, I was down pretty low last Sunday night and throughout Monday.

Came on here, mainly out of sense of responsibility - - there were some real "acting out" threads Sunday night and many had to go or be, at least, merged. Did all with a heavy heart - - kinda felt like being the street sweeper after a parade of elephants.

Then the Pats signed Armstead on Tuesday....and all of a sudden the sun rose again.

Great thread Mike! I am still very disappointed about how things ended this year, but by the time the draft rolls around I will be raring to go. I hate the off-season stuff (unless it's a good signing). I don't want to be part of the argument over the next few months about whether we should re-sign Welker (I think we should) or the hand-wringing when he goes somewhere else. I think I have decided to go skiing next Sunday rather than watch the Superbowl, but we'll see.

Sounds like a good plan.

I have a theory that says there are three seasons in the year: football season, ski season and summer. Trouble is I went skiing over Christmas and New Year (it was great, thanks!) and it looks like we've still got a lot of winter to get through.

Where are you going? Wherever it is, if next weekend is like this one, make sure you wrap up warm!

I'm still annoyed and aggravated, though it's slowing but surely ebbing away... Sigh...

2009 sucked but it was nothing compared to 2010 and losing to the damn JESTS. And THAT was just a notch below the two Super Bowls losing to the the Giants.

I avoided just about everything football related for months after 2007, 2010 and 2011. I was just in complete denial all summer after those games. New York, New York...Gawd, I HATE losing to New Yawk!

This year was like 2009. The fact that I still came here to read so soon after the game says something. It sucked, but was not in the same league as the above three loses.
