No, I think it's human nature. He has made it. He is arguably the GOAT. He's got three rings, a supermodel wife, beautiful healthy kids, a fabulous lifestyle, and riches beyond the dreams of avarice. The man has zero to prove. Zero. While I want to believe the whole "the next one" theory, I am not sure I do anymore. I know he's the 199th pick in the draft, and a chip on his shoulder and, and, and, and... It's just human nature to get where he is in life and say "it's pretty good being the king."
I really hope I am wrong, guys. I really do. I want to see him fight for it like Elway did at the end of his career. The difference? Elway needed it to validate his greatness. Brady doesn't.
I am not one of these "trade him" guys. I am ex-freakin-static that he's still here and we've had the opportunity to watch him grow from Drew's back up to GOAT. If he doesn't win another one, I won't b!tch. I just question how the guy can really get up and try to prove he's the man like he did 2001-2004, when he was still that 199th pick and not TFB.
