After a year of no fans, those attending New England Patriots games this fall will notice a rather obvious new Gillette Stadium feature from their seats.

Over the past few months, the Patriots have been working on upgrading the south end zone video scoreboard to a much wider version and this week the project was finally completed.

On Wednesday, the Gillette Stadium Twitter account shared a photo of the new board and as you can see, it extends much more to the left than the prior version.

A few media members also shared a few different angles of the new video board.

We’re proud to extend our partnership with Daktronics to enhance Patriots and Revolution fans’ gameday experience,” said Kraft Sports and Entertainment Chief Operating Officer Jim Nolan in a press release. “This new video board is best-in-class and we look forward to sharing it with our fans.”

According to the Patriots, the new south end zone video display will measure just under 53 feet high by 220 feet wide, officially providing 11,595 square feet of digital space to engage and entertain fans at multiple events held at the Gillette Stadium. This video board will be the seventh largest main display in professional football and the second largest in professional soccer right behind Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The previous video board at the south end zone location was installed prior to the 2010 season.
