ICYMI: Ty Law Selected For Induction Into The Michigan Athletics Hall Of Honor

Pro Football Hall of Fame cornerback Ty Law was named one of six former University of Michigan student athletes named to the university’s Hall of Honor class in 2020.
Each year, Michigan reviews consideration criteria that includes “being an NCAA champion or member of a national championship team, an All-American, Olympic medalist, Olympic team member, professional league champion or world championship team medalist/member, NCAA or conference player of the year, conference champion, record holder or all-conference award winner”.
Law joins Sarah Cain (women’s gymnastics), Kelli Gannon (field hockey), Jim Paciorek (baseball), Tripp Welborne (football) and Lexi Zimmerman (volleyball) as the Class of 2020.

Law was a member of the Wolverines football team from 1992-1994 and recorded 161 tackles, 19 pass breakups, eight interceptions and one forced fumble in 30 career starts over three collegiate seasons.
A two-time All-Big Ten first team member in 1993 and 1994, Law contributed to the 1992 Big Ten championship and three postseason bowl games with victories in the Rose, Hall of Fame and Holiday bowls.
The New England Patriots chose Law with the 23rd overall pick in the 1995 NFL Draft and he would go on to have a Hall of Fame NFL career over 15 seasons and ten as a Patriot, winning three Super Bowls and earning five Pro Bowl honors.
On Thursday, Law shared a reflection post about his selection over Instagram.
“HONORED ➕HUMBLED to be part of the 2020 Michigan Athletics Hall of Honor class!!!”, Law wrote in a caption.
According to Michigan athletics, the induction ceremony will take place at a later date to be determined.
