FOXBORO, MA — Bill Belichick announced on Thursday that offensive lineman Joe Andruzzi has been upgraded from “Out” to “Doubtful” for Sunday’s game against San Diego.

Andruzzi suffered a knee injury last weekend against Miami and according to Belichick he initially wondered if he would be out for the season.

“I still think it’s a pretty long shot for him to play, but he’s feeling a whole lot better from what it looked like on Sunday, and Monday, to Tuesday, and then even yesterday,” said Belichick on Thursday. “It’s pretty surprising to me that we’re talking about him even having a remote chance to play this week, but I think that speaks to his toughness and will.”
