Big changes are coming to the Gillette Stadium experience over the next two years.

On Friday, the Patriots and Kraft family unveiled their “transformational enhancement” plan that will completely renovate and change the look of the stadium’s north side.

According to a press release, “This project will feature a completely reimagined plaza leading into the stadium, including a new and enhanced lighthouse. Inside the stadium, there will be a prominent new HD video board as well as new and improved concession locations and other fan amenities”.

The new project alongside the south-end zone upgrades the last offseason will total a $225 million investment by the Kraft family and is expected to be completed prior to the start of the 2023 NFL season after beginning in “early 2022”.

“The Kraft family has kept the Gillette Stadium fan experience ahead of the constantly changing landscape with continued improvements, additions, and renovations over the past 20 years,” said Jen Ferron, Chief Marketing Officer of Kraft Sports + Entertainment. “This renovation project, coupled with other recent enhancements, will continue to set Gillette Stadium apart from other venues.”

Full features for this project include new hospitality and function spaces above the current bridge and north end zone seats that will allow all three levels of the stadium to be connected for the first time. (Presently only the main concourse has full circle connectivity.)

In addition, the renovation will include the largest outdoor stadium high-definition video board in the country and a “much bigger, more prominent” lighthouse that will rise 218 feet and provide a 360-degree view of the stadium and surrounding area from an accessible observation deck.

Lastly, a “revitalized” fan entrance will be built that will include “relocating the entry gates to create a new fan-activation area upon entry to the lower plaza” and a “landscaped staircase” will lead guests up to the main concourse.

You can check out the new look for yourself in the following video.

The Patriots will share more details, images, and information on the upcoming renovations in the coming months when construction begins.
