All-time the Patriots are 65-41-1 against the Bills, including a victory in the only time they met in the post-season. The 65 victories are the most that they have against any other franchise, and that is also the most losses that Buffalo has against any other franchise. The Patriots have owned the series of late, winning the last four in a row, 19 of the last 20, and are 24-2 since Bill Belichick become New England's head coach. Considering that record and then going back further to Scott Norwood's wide right, it is no wonder that fans of the Bills despise Belichick.
From a statistical standpoint, the major point of emphasis to be wary of is Buffalo's pass defense. They do a great job of getting after the quarterback, led by Mario Williams (13 sacks) and Kyle Williams (10.5 sacks). Their safeties are very good as well; Jairus Byrd is one of the best in the league, and he is complemented quite nicely by safety Aaron Williams; both have four interceptions apiece this year. Linebacker Kiko Alonso has four picks as well, and is fourth in the league with 145 total tackles.
