FOXBORO, MA -- The Patriots released their injury report on Wednesday, and while little has changed, there are some new names that have been added as the team prepares to travel to The Meadowlands to face the New York Jets this week.
According to published reports, while cornerback Ty Law (foot) has said he hopes to return this week, for now he's listed as "doubtful" for Sunday. Safety Dexter Reid (shoulder) is also "doubtful".
Quarterback Tom Brady told reporters on Wednesday that Law is itching to get back on the field.
"Ty is one of those guys that, if he has one leg, he'll be hopping around there trying to do his best," Brady told reporters on Wednesday. "He did that last year a bunch of times and he's a tough guy. I think the team's going to be great when we do get him back, whether it's this week, whether it's three weeks from now, who knows. But, I know how bad he wants to be out there."
Meanwhile Patriots running back Kevin Faulk, who suffered an injury late in the Miami game where he could be heard screaming in pain, joins this week's report and is listed as "questionable" with a knee injury. Matt Chatham (Hamstring), Randall Gay (Arm), David Givens (Ankle), Daniel Graham (Rib), Bethel Johnson (Thigh), and Asante Samuel (Shoulder) are also questionable for Sunday.
Tom Brady (Shoulder), Je'Rod Cherry (Ankle), and Jim Miller (Shoulder) are listed as Probable.
