The Associated Press reported on Tuesday that the New England Patriots have signed veteran cornerback Otis Smith, less than just a year after the team released him after he struggled to recover from a shoulder injury.
Smith, 38 and a 14-year veteran, played last season with the Detroit Lions, playing in all 16 games and starting the final 13. He finsished with 59 tackles, an interception, and 1.5 sacks.
Smith also has played for Philadelphia and the New York Jets.
