For you bettors out there all the favorites won this weekend.Take all the underdogs next weekend there will be at least two upsets.
Right now I think Atlanta is going to win that game.
- Atlanta is going to have a huge chip on their shoulder with nobody giving them a chance, even though they are the #1 seed.
- Seattle was acting like they just won the Super Bowl. They may have peaked too soon.
- The Seahawks are going to have to win consecutive games in which they travel across three time zones, this time for an early (10 am their time) game.
- The Redskins were a mediocre team representing a mediocre division. Their entire team was wrapped around RGIII - but even though they were one-dimensional Seattle was down to them 14-0. Do the Seahawks make that same comeback if he's not limping around and unable to plant his foot on throws?
Earlier in the season I thought Seattle would be going to the Super Bowl, but I'm backing away from that now. I would not be the least bit surprised if some of their more vocal players (that was Richard Sherman's first playoff game, for example) are looking past Atlanta. They just seem to come across as guys who are really full of themselves right now. They're a very good team, but they're not so talented that they can just show up and win - especially against quality opponents.
