If they were to meet in the Super Bowl, Sherman would get absolutely torched by Brady and the offense, just like that long-since-forgotten Steelers DB who talked trash and got absolutely pummeled the next time around.

The Seahawks have good team speed and some nice athletes, but their slow start vs. Washington makes me wonder about their collective football IQ.

I would love to see them play NE in a neutral setting and as a Patriot's fan believe NE would win that match-up, but it certainly wouldn't be easy. The patriots couldn't use the hurry up effectively in Seattle but would be able to do so in N.O. and i think it would wear the Hawks defense down very effectively.
I see what you're saying, but I have to disagree on the "accomplished vs not-accomplished" part. I personally am not a big fan of trash talking either, but I don't think having more superbowl rings makes one trash talk better or more valid than another. Every season the slate is wiped clean and nobody on the field gives a crap about what you did the year before. If some guy on the 49ers defense acted like Richard Sherman, I don't think that makes it more right just because they have multiple championships. That guy probably wasn't even born yet when they won those championships.

I highly doubt it. If the two teams do meet, BB & company would be well advised to target Browner (overrated IMO) and stay away from Sherman. Dude's legit.

Come on man...it was a rookie QB's first playoff game on the road. Give the kid some slack.

Browner is not a great cover-guy. He is good because of his physicality. He's not as quick and athletic as Sherman and he can get burned deep.

Thing is, Sherman has more natural talent in his ring finger than Anthony Smith had in his entire body.

Agreed. Browner's definitely the weak link in that secondary. Sherman and Thomas are both really, really good, and Chancellor seems to be solid at what he does. Whoever they put Browner on, though, I would expect Brady to target early and often if they meet again.

If you talk about the football season starting in december check out the Hags. Best team in football.Hands down.
6 straight wins. Including 3 on the road.

of all the talk about RG3. Russ Wilson is not exactley chopped liver either.
Please stop. The team with the most consecutive wins is in Denver. If that's your measuring stick, the Seahawks aren't close, since the Broncos have won 11 straight.

With Clemons out, you spread that Seahawks defense out and spend the day destroying Chancellor, who's physical but weak in coverage, with Gronk and Hernandez.

I think it's more a matter of being competitive and winning games in the playoffs year in and year out than "did the team win some Super Bowls long before any of the players on it were even in the NFL?".

Teams like the Patriots, Steelers, Giants, etc. are more entitled to talk a bit of trash, IMO, not because of the SB's that each team won over a decade ago, but because they're all in the playoffs more often than not, and they win playoff games when they get there. The are a .500 team through three seasons with Pete Carroll as coach, and that's with the NFC West being the worst division in the NFL for the bulk of his tenure. Until they sustain this year's success for a couple of seasons, they'll be yet another new arrival that may or may not last. There are multiple teams like that every season, and they're all just as convinced that their team has a limitless ceiling as you are. The Chargers used to see themselves in pretty much the same way.
