We are just fans tho. As long as the team is taking it one game at a time we should be okay.

FYI losing to other excellent teams like SF or Houston is not 'effing it up' - The Bronco's have a cakewalk finish - i'd make them favorite for the #2 seed right now.
I'm not concerned either way

Look at the recent Super Bowl winners and research how many of them had the bye - and you'll see how much of a correlation there is between having the bye and winning the Super Bowl.

Its about 50-50 isnt it? I looked it up a while ago so my memory might be fuzzy, still would rather get the bye and get some guys healthy.

1st round bye would be nice, but it would be even more nice if we didn't have to go to Houston in the championship game!

If it is 50-50 that means you have a better chance at winning the superbowl if you have a bye. there's 4 teams with byes. there's 8 teams without byes

Definitely need to win out. And also hope for a Broncos loss to the Ravens and/or a Texans loss to the Colts in one of the two. But as said, ONE GAME AT A TIME.

The 2nd best scenario is we lose once and finish 12-4, but still get at least the #2 seed. It's hard to imagine Houston losing 3 out of 4 games. But if Baltimore beats Denver and then loses to either the Giants or Cincy, 12-4 would give us the edge over both teams.
So...there could be a scenario were we may have to root for the Giants to beat the Ravens? I will be drinking heavily for that game if that scenario has to occur.

This offseason, it's almost like Belichick is saying, "I'm never going to let that happen again."

Edited thread title.

We need to keep our thread titles to at least a 6th grade level.
