Rams coach Jeff Fisher, a member of the league’s Competition Committee, says that further discussion of the possible elimination of the kickoff is inevitable.

“I’m sure it will be something that will be addressed once the committee gets together in February,” Fisher said.

You apparently don't know what the word "hypocrite" means, despite your telling us to call you one.

The same guy who proposed the 18 game season last year is now attempting to reduce injuries by taking out kickoffs?

what the NFL needs is a not a CEO, but a person that knows and cares about the product, and the customers. Pretty simple. You change to get customer support, not like Goodell, for his ego. We are customers in the end, and his job is to sell us that product.

Goodell won't do a single thing the owners don't want him to do.

I continue to be amazed at how people give Goodell all this flak and let the owners off scott-free.

Player safety is a high priority for Goodell.

It is not, however, the highest.

I agree, and your right, but does not change the fact that he is incapable of performing his job. But you are very correct that the owners hired him . and are at the root of this. I think.

Alrighty. Make kickoffs 9-on-9. That's 4 fewer guys who can get hurt.
