I am pretty certain the reason Sanchez was named Jets starter is because the Jets SUCK.

I think we should all hope the Jets get the 6 seed as NE could certainly be the 3rd seed and nothing better than to beat them down 3 times in one season.

I think this is great. By benching Sanchez, Ryan essentially gave the team (by that I mean the players) permission to think that Sanchez can't get it done. The fracturing will now begin in earnest. It's just unfortunate that this game is against a lousy Jaguars team that's awful on both sides of the ball. Sanchez is probably going to get out of the game with a win, and it may even be a blowout, a la the Colts game earlier in the season. That'll keep the locker room in check for a couple of weeks, and that will lessen the fun.

But the losing will return, and the dissent will make the paper.

Do you really want to play them in the playoffs? Not me. I still have too many bad memories of the Jets coming into Foxboro 2 years ago after be shellacked 45-3 in their previous meeting and beating the Pats.

Sure, I'll grant you this Patriots team is better than the 2010 team and the Jets are worse. But, it took overtime to beat them earlier this year in Foxboro.
