Default Jets Safeties: we're going to give TEs something to think about

Jets safeties plan to get physical with tight ends | ProFootballTalk

their comments seem to be directed at gronk and hernandez. i honestly don't think yeremiah bell and laron landey are that great. our TEs are a huge mismatch for them. brady has exploited these 2 clowns before.

Lulz since when have those 2 names scared anybody? A 34 year old safety(released by the dolphins?) and a former 1st round pick roider who will break his ankle if a strong breeze of wind rolls through the stadium.

Also good luck trying to get physical with Gronk - the 270 pound all-pro. I'm sure nobody thought of it last season when he was breaking records.

BB could have had a career as a magician. He is a master of the sleight of hand.

Look at the shiny TEs everyone! Fear them! (screen pass to Vereen for the TD!!!)

Neither of these re-treads are going to be able to handle the speedy and agility of Hernandez or the height and physicality of the Gronk.

Talk is cheap, unfortunately its the only currency used in JetsLand.

Seriously, its stupidity like this that makes us laugh at the Jets like we do. Its one thing if a safety is trying to intimidate a small WR that is equal to or smaller than they are, its another trying to intimidate a TE who has 70 pounds on you and routinely has DBs bounce off of him. Compounding this is the fact that its like a red flag to the league "Come fine me!".

I am sure Gronk is terrified that little Yeremiah is coming to smack him. I predict that in their first game Yeremiah tries to tackle high, bounces off of Gronk and the TE strolls in for a TD. If the guy has any sense he will be going low trying to trip the guy and not high trying to give him something to think about.

Even when Landry is 100%, he was always a liability in coverage. I think he will be a monster against the run, but I don't think he can keep up with Gronk or Hernandez.

Last year, Bell was a liability too. Now was it just a down year or has he hit age wall?

Someone needs to tell these guys that the court of public opinion only helps you win political campaigns. For football, we have the field.

And does he really believe that a football player isn't prepared to get hit? Heck maybe a WR could be slightly itimidated to go over the middle, but witht he current rules and fine heavy system we have...how serious can it be taken by other players.

Who cares. Let them get preoccupied with stopping one aspect of our offense. Meanwhile, Brandon Lloyd is going to give the Jets safeties something to think about.

The Jet safeties absolutely will give the Pats TE's something to think about. For example Gronk will have to think whether to go right, left or straight ahead to blow by the lumbering Landry/old man Bell.

I am certain that Gronk and AHern are sitting in a corner in fetal positions, trembling in fear about what the Jest safeties are going to do to them....N O T!!!! What a freaking joke the Green Beans organization is. Gronk and Hernandez are the Road Runner. Bell and Landry are Wile E. Coyote. Looney Tunes indeed......
