Default SalPal & Cimini on Jets Bengals

This is not an encouraging report for Jets fans despite the Coples story. They couldn't run the ball and they couldn't stop the pass.

Cimini: Jets, 'Running In Quicksand' - ESPN Video - ESPN

The video is Tebow-free. Virtually. Well, come on, it can't be 100% Tebow-free. He's like GMO in the food chain.

Interesting report. It is the first preseason game. Coples looks like he'll be a player, and we'll see how he and Jones progress as the blocking schemes become far more sophisticated when the games count.

The real thing to consider with guys like Jones and Coples is if they continue to be effective after teams get film on they and opposing offense linemen can prepare for their best moves. As much as it was exciting to watch Jones perform Thursday, its going to get harder over the next 2 years before it starts to get easier.

Anyone remember Laurence Maroney's first game as a Patriot? He looked like was a sure fire Hall of Famer. You need more than talent to make it in the NFL.
