Eli's Giants have beaten the Pats the last 3x they've played, and twice ended our Super Bowl dreams. Eli's a goofy looking guy, but in the clutch no one has been better the last few years.

How elite can a drive be when it surely falls apart without a dropped pick, and a catch that only could have been possible through tinkering by the gods of physics?

I mean how do you throw the ball to a ball hawking corner and get away with it?

But we've been on the right side of that tinkering too. Obviously Brady in the snow, Kasay with the blown kick, and Patten going unconscious with one foot out of bounds. There's a time to give and a time to receive.

You only really need to know which time it is when you have bet your farm.

I agree with the point of this thread. There is a fine line between "elite" and being on the right side of luck. Obviously I'm biased, but to me Eli has done nothing to show that he's not the latter. When he wins the Super Bowl without an impossible catch on a game-winning drive, I may reconsider. Alternately, if he puts up elite numbers for the first time in his career that may work for me too.
