Default Big Ben had a "severe" setback

98.5 just reported that big ben had a severe setback in Cleveland... What that means I'm not sure. But his status could mean a Patriots superbowl appearance.

Anyone have any news?

Your conclusion does not necessarily follow. The team whose match ups present great difficulty for the Patriots is the Ravens. Let's hope Flacco remains flaccid.

From what i heard on ESPN is his leg is hurting more than it was before the browns game, he seems to have aggrevated the injury in the 2nd half of the game

They now probably only have to beat 1 good team to get to the SB. if big ben was healthy there is no way they get to the superbowl by beating the ravens and steelers.

While I agree that the Steelers are the better match up, here's the news here in Pittsburgh.

Roethlisberger Suffers Setback, Expects To Play Against Denver « CBS Pittsburgh

"Roethlisberger said he tweaked his ankle in the third quarter and it set his recovery back by one week. However, he did say he will play against the Broncos on Sunday."

I heard he pissed down his leg again.

The guy is a prima donna, have you ever heard another QB talk about his injury status as much as him? Remember when he "broke his thumb" only to find out after taking x-rays that he really didn't?

And according to local media in Pitt he didn't start his limp until he walked past an ESPN crew.....

Tomlin is an idiot for playing him. Especially with the matchups that the Ravens had.

Exactly what i have been saying the past two weeks, When you know u r a sure lock for the playoffs why play ur QB and risk aggrevating the injruy,
Either Tomlin is dumb or Ben is worried that the backups will play better and take his place

The Pats are fully capable of beating both, and it's very possible. The Pats are 27 and 6 in the last two seasons. That is a team that is capable of beating both of those teams back to back. Would they lose potentially?? Sure they could, but lets not sell the Pats short as far as what they're capable of.

The Steelers are not really a good team at this point. Big ***** is hurt...Mendenhall just tore his ACL....the O-Line is garbage which compounds point 1....Woodley is hurt....and Harrison is not quite right....even Troy hasn't really done much this season, he's been steady but not the force he typically has been in the past.

And in addition the only way we would play the Steelers is if Pitt wins in Denver (which I expect to happen) and Houston beats Cincy. And I'm not really digging Houston this week for much of the same reasons as above. I think Cincy shuts down the Texans run game and forces Yates/Delhomme (ya that one) to beat them through the air with a limpy Johnson...no pun intended...
