GB making a HUGE error here.........cheeseheads seen grilling and melting down all around, sad day for GB fans.

I wonder where he will end up. Let the guessing start for real now - I would love to see him in Minnesota

Favre seeks unconditional release from Packers, sources say

favre wont be leaving GB...

and he wont be playing either

GB will just keep him, and have rodgers start....then well see how much Favre likes being the back up

I think Favre will wind up in Miami, just a hunch.

I fully understand why GB wants nothing to do with this egomaniac at this point. After 4 years of having him use all 16 games as his personal retirement tour complete with fake tears, they decided to move on after he announced he was done. Favre actually thinks the Packers should have gotten down on their knees and begged Lord Favre to return for another year and that by not doing it they forced him into retirement. As ridiculous as that sounds, Favre's inner circle has been yelling it at the top of their lungs since before his retirement announcement.

I'm sure something will be worked out and GB will trade him to a team of his choice outside of their division who will then suffer the misfortune of the 1 man Favre media show Favre's ego demands followed by Jake Plummer/Aaron Brooks like play in big games.

How can they do that to Favre, love him or hate him - he is a legend and restored that franchise to prominence.

Also happens to be the best QB Green Bay could start, but looks to me like they blew it.

3 years/$39M left on his contract. I don't think they'll be doing that.

How did the Packers blow it? The guy retired. It was probably always a fake retirement to get the full offseason off - Favre is well known as a guy who hates to work at football, hates offseason workouts, and publicly has complained about how he hates the film work it takes to QB in today's NFL but the fact is he retired. Were they supposed to sit by in case he decided to honor them again with his presence? He left them no choice but to go in another direction.

The Packers side seems to be a little different from the innocent victim of big mean Ted Thompson story Lord Favre's friends and family have been portraying:
