Quote:
Strong safety Troy Polamalu could miss the remainder of the regular season after aggravating his strained right Achilles tendon, sources told the Tribune-Review on Friday.

Could be nice to face either instead of Indy or SD.

Story actually says it was diagnosed after the Pats game, so not 100% clear that's when he sustained it. Either way: Tough guy.

Mods please move this anti-Patriots comment to the Patriots criticism thread

If the Patriots play the Steelers in the playoffs, I hope he is back there to be abused by Brady.
I think Polamalu has a tendency to try to do too much at times. Result is if he's up against a smart, patient QB, he'll get caught out of a position on a fake and burnt on occasion. On the other hand that aggressive style of play can result in a big clutch play against other teams like that sack and forced fumble against the Ravens a couple weeks ago.
Regardless, the Steelers looked like a lost team when Polamalu was out last year. If the same thing happens this year Baltimore could end up winning the AFCN, and the other bye spot in the AFC would be up for grabs.
