Hey Pepe, could it be that Josh McDaniels refused to look at the video because Scarnecchia told him he thought a league official might have seen him taping at the 49er walk through and Mac was going to keep hands-off just in case??
Or is it a case where Josh answers Pepe's phone calls (strokes his ego) therefore Josh is deemed to be an outstanding human being guilty of nothing and it was that horrible rogue assistant who taped the Niners without Josh' knowledge because Josh was in church with his wonderful family at the time...

And King wonders why BB doesn't talk to him. "The Pats were doing it for years" yeah you fat douche bag so wasn't every body else but of course you failed to mention that. This way it looks like BB was the only one.
Yea Peter, it's everyone else's fault butMcD's. Jeez this guy is a total joke. Why should we take Josh's word that he didn't look at the tape, etc. when he already didn't do the right thing and fire SS a month ago and report it to the league? Sorry, but it starts at the top, and McD has to be accountable for what the guys working under him do. Period.
The jury is in, and Josh McDaniels has been an unmitigated disaster for the Denver Broncos. And he throws BB under the bus for good measure. What a douche bag.
LOL... and if you read on down, Tom Brady is not among his top 3 offensive players of the week despite 4 TDs, over 300 yards, and a PERFECT QB rating.
His choices: Jay Cutler, Matt Ryan, Mendenhall.
Peter King has totally lost his fastball. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy....
Yes, but later he makes Brady his league MVP at this stage and goes into why he takes him over Rivers.
It's probably a case of spreading the player massages around real wide for maximum interview benefit for him in the future. I actually like Peter King, but often his MMQB reads like a summer camp newsletter where he has to give props to every camper.
In the meantime, he initially really teased the whole Spygate thing last night ('Wait'll you read what I have on that tomorrow, kids, on why the league needs to re-open the case against the Patriots!') and then obviously talked to McDaniels and the league official who told him to put down the doobie.
In today's piece he wants us all to forget what he advertised last night. He is doing his best Emily Litella SNL impersonation ("Neeeeeeeever miiiiind") with this piece this morning.

We all know that Fredo is in Cleveland, so here's my take:

------------------ “On a day when they could have had impact players David Terrell or Koren Robinson..they took Georgia defensive tackle Richard Seymour, who had 1 sacks last season in the pass-happy SEC and is too tall to play tackle at 6-6 and too slow to play defensive end. This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”
When did the memo that said no videotaping signals come out? I can't remember.
LOL Good one. We got penalized for the totality of what we did, even though it wasn't illegal to do it until that season...if a letter from some VP even trumps the NFL constitution (in a court of law...). Josh is getting off the hook way to easy as far as media and the league are concerned. He signs a document every season now that stipulates no illegal activity has occurred and stipulating if any does and it comes to his attention it must be reported immediately... He knew what Scar, Jr. did was always illegal, whether he viewed the tape or not. I have a feeling it will be a moot point anyway. The way things are going he will be done in January. Like Mangini, exceptional coordinator material but not quite ready for the big boy post particularly when matched up with an inexperienced, rubber stamp GM.
Anyone notice how Mangini looked almost ill coming off the field clinging to that one point win over the hapless Panthers yesterday? I think his days are numbered, too, regardless of record.
Putting Atlanta No. 1 in his "Fine 15". He's been looking for ways to avoid putting the Pats there for a weeks now. It really doesn't matter obviously, it's just some *****ty power poll, but it does show whatever petty issues he has with the Pats are still alive and well.
There was also a nice little dig later in the MMQ about how the Lions PF penalties late in the game should have actually been called on NE.
Still enjoy reading MMQ if for no other reason than it's fun to pick out items that reveal his agenda with certain teams, players, etc. Sort of like Florio with his man love for the Steelers and their Meathead QB.
