I would never argue that; Brady is not a choker. He's had bad games, and good games. By that same standard, I think anyone would be hard-pressed to call Manning a "choker" at this point...
Manning is a choker. He may be the biggest choker in the history of the NFL.

If it weren't for the Patriots having much of their defense sidelined in the second half of the 2006 AFCCG, Manning wouldn't have any Super Bowl rings, and he would be the unquestioned king of the gas pipe.

Excuses, excuses, excuses. Manning led an incredible comeback, with a huge monkey on his back against his biggest rival.

If it hadn't been for the tuck rule, Martz forgetting the offensive gameplan, the Carolina kicker shanking it, McNabb getting sick, etc, etc.

And how have Brady's last 5 years been? The 2007 SB was arguably the biggest single-team choke in football history (and he was QB, btw)

I completely agree. The concept of 'choke' is that you can't breath; that is, you couldn't handle the pressure, tensed up and folded in a high pressure situation.

Somehow over the years it has transformed into a derisive term aimed at humiliating anybody that lost a big game, especially championship games. The reality is that for every winner in those games there also has to be a team that loses. I've just never followed the logic that a team that lost choked; losing and choking are two completely different things, in my opinion.

Freeney injured himself with just over 2 minutes to go in a 30-17 game. The Jets offense had been shut out in the second half.

When are the Colts going to learn to pull key players late in games that are effectively over?

Don't even bother with posters like Dues and DaBruinz. Both are narcissits, who think they know everything. Anyone with a brain knows that Manning is not a choker.

You hit the nail on the head with your points about the tuck rule and such.

Where have we seen this before? Then he'll come out of nowhere and have a monster game.

True. Law of averages says it was about time - aided by the flu sweeping through the Pats locker room and a bad flag for a rule that had been changed (face-guarding.) Regardless, congrats to Manning and the Colts for that win.

And I could easily go through an equal number of 'if not for this one play' going the other way over the years that would have resulted in more Pats' championships; that argument is ridiculous.

Not too bad. Here's some of what happened in his last five season in which he played at least one full quarter. Led the league in passing yards twice. Set an NFL record for most TD passes in a season. Double-digit wins every year. The NFL's only 16-0 season. Two AFC championships and one Super Bowl victory.

Wait, if I recall you just said the word choke was over-used. In case you've forgotten, Brady led the team to what would have been a come from behind game-winning drive with two minutes left. But I guess it's not only Brady's fault that Asante Samuel dropped an interception, and the d-line let Eli escape their grasp, but that he also choked in doing so.

In other words, in your view it's okay to label players and other teams chokers, but forbidden to label players and the team that you are a fan of chokers. Can you say hypocrite?

I'm guessing the line for the over/under went up a few points.

If this report is true, then the Colts secondary is going to get exposed. I think both teams are going to score over 30.

Go Saints!

Its pretty pathetic when instead of talking on your own message boards (where your team is playing in the SUPERBOWL next week).you colts fans would rather ***** about Manning a pats board.

Jealousy.

Funny how you say this:

After you said this:

Why must you try and discredit Manning to the point where you look foolish? The guy is one of the greatest qb's ever, and even if you don't think he's as good as Brady (which is rediculous) How much worse is he? 1% - 2%?
