It would be poetic justice if the Jets were to beat the Colts. As hard as it is for me to root for the Jets, the look on Manning's and Polian's face if they do lose to the Jets would be epic. Plus, the crowd reaction there if they lose in a close game would fantastic.

I'll cheer the Jets on like I cheer for my root canals. Something painful, but has to be done.

Do you realize the Colts are following a similar path as their super bowl season 3-4 years back?
1. Hard fought divisional playoff win versus Baltimore (which was not in doubt even though hard fought - both games there is a critical very long 8 minutes or so drive that Ravens cannot defend).
2. The team that Colts will have the toughest time against (San Diego) gets taken out by an AFC east team (NE back then & Jets now). The 2006 Colts matched up better with 2006 Patriots (and knew they could beat them - even though the game was a tight game). Same with this year's Jets - the Colts have better chances against them than against San Diego & much more likely to win than lose against the Jets.

So this game comes down to the lesser of 2 evils.

Absolutely. Classic irony. As much as I dislike the Jests, I dislike the Po Lyin, referee payrolling, pick running, change-the-rules-on-the-fly Colts even more.

The Jets better get ready for at least two major defensive pass interference calls against them at critical times. When you play the Colts at the oil drum, you have to play the Colts and the zebras (must be a four-legged animals stick together kind of thing.)

You have to work at least two DPI calls against you into your game plan.

Okay, on the flip side, won't the Colts look like absolute geniuses if they handle the Jets with ease? After they let the Jets in the playoffs to take out the Chargers who historically own the Colts. Nobody wants to say it but IF this scenario plays out on Sunday the Colts ultimately made the right choice.

I'd be fine with the Jets winning the SB. It puts pressure on Bill and Bob to do what they have to do to win.

Still, my preference is (now revised) the Jets meet the Saints and get smoke-holed.

So it would be nice for JETs to win at Indy, beat Manning and his almost perfect season then lose big at Miami. I hope they will be demolished. 5 interceptions.

So the Pats won't be going back to the SB for years by your logic.

I am not buying that scenario.
