This guy never finished a job except in NY when BB had his back.... unbelievable.. NYG, Dallas, Miami and now Cleveland... when will folks learn that the only loyalty he has is to the dollar.

I really doubt it's the dollar that motivates him but his ego.

You beat me to it. I was going to say that, if he takes this job, he should probably consult a doctor about getting his hands on some Adderall because his ADD is off the charts.

To be honest, though, I'm actually with HarkDawg on this one. I really don't think he's going to be leaving Miami. He loves it down there, the job isn't even halfway done, he has full control of the team, and on top of it all... he owns a home and spends the majority of his time in West Palm. On top of that, why would he want to leave Miami in favor of Cleveland? Last, but not least, keep in mind that this is Florio that we're reading here. Notice how he pulls a "classic Florio" and keeps both possibilities open while only speculating that Parcells will go to Cleveland just because his contract with the Dolphins stipulates that he can leave at any time and cash out...

Quote:
With the Browns still searching for a new leader of the franchise's football operations and Dolphins V.P. of football operations Bill Parcells free to cash out the rest of his contract and leave for another gig at any time, it was inevitable that Parcells' name would emerge as a candidate for the job in Cleveland.

And, per a league source, it has.

Though we've previously heard that Parcells will be back in Miami for the third year of his four-year deal, predictability and Parcells are hardly synonymous. The man is a master at building and capitalizing on leverage, and the 2010 hiring cycle prevents him with a prime opportunity to do so, again.

If, for some unknown reason, Parcells does actually go to Cleveland, I'm guessing his first decision will be to fire fredo even if fredo wins the rest of the games.

I agree with you. While ANYTHING is possible. Parcells has it made where he is. He is semi retired; has the sun, fishing, golf, whatever else he likes.
What's in Cleveland? If he wanted a challenge;Tampa is close by.
This would be a Shocker but I don't see it happening.

Well once again everyone's already said what I was going to say.

On the one hand, Tuna has made it clear that he'll go just about anywhere if you throw enough money at him. On the other, you'll notice that since he left NYJ* he's stuck with southern cities - Dallas, almost went to Tampa (again) and ultimately to Miami. At his age, I just don't think he'd be willing to leave south Florida for northern Ohio.

But who knows? This is the guy who said his tenure with the Patriots would be his last coaching job.

Pass rush? Uneccessary when you have 72 CBS playing.
Lbs? What for, we have no pass rush, they gonna chuck it at our lousy CBS...all 72 of them bums

Doesn't his contract say he gets all the $$ even if he quits?
