If he were paralyzed or had another life altering injury I wouldn't have said it nor felt that way. Breaks, tears, whatevers, I'm not going to apologize for not being sad about that.

Oh, okay- so it's totally fine if we hope that you fall down the stairs and break your leg tonight? Since broken bones and torn ligaments are no big deal anyways?
Re: OT: Jets' Leon Washington carted off the field [merged]
I usually feel for any player who gets carted off the field. When it's a Jet...not so much. Definately don't root for it and don't get excited for it, but I won't be shedding a tear either. After some fans' reaction around the league when Brady went down, I've changed my feelings on injuries to star players on some teams. The Jets are one of them. Their glee in Week One last year was nauseating.
That said, what sucks for Washington is that he has been complaining that the Jets haven't redone his deal or given him an extension. Some even thought he would hold out. Instead he came into camp, played hard, and now will have **** to show for it. That is too bad.

It was well played. However last week he actually had a 60% completion rate and a TD pass against the Eagles, I hoped he had turned a corner. He turned a corner this week, and right into a wall.

Whatever, man, root for what you like. I don't really care.

Definitely true, but he didn't look very good last week either. That TD was all Zach Miller, and you know that a #1 pick has gone down the toilet when actually throwing a TD pass is considered the (not a) bright spot on his resume.
If there's a good QB available when the Raiders pick this year, I honestly think they should just punt on the Russell era and start over with a new QB. Guys simply don't become good players after being this bad for this long. Even a Troy Aikman, who's pretty much Exhibit A in being patient with your QBs, turned it around much faster.
