I could have sworn that they beat the Cowboys in a 4:15 game last season.

did anyone realize the huge strategic mistake by the Bengals on their final drive? With a first down at about 47 seconds left, deep in Pitt territory, AND with 2 timeouts, they still spiked.

When you spike, you forfeit a down to stop the clock. You never do it unless you will run out of clock before you run out of downs. Otherwise, you just run a pass play or use one of your timeout.

As it turned out, they barely converted on the 4th and then won the game.

I can't believe year after year, you see coaches (and QBs) making the same strategic mistake. When you consider it would have been a mistake even if they didn't have TOs, it is really just embarrassing. They have about 1 chance to beat Pitt every 5 yrs - to let it almost slip away....

BWAAAHAHAHA. I would have loved to watch the smile get rubbed off of Ward's face after that one.

No they're not! They beat the cowboys and they beat the chargers last year! Remember that Troy Polamalu pick 6 that wasn't that almost changed the spread?

Pitt had 2 timeouts not Cincy. Pitt used both of those timeouts on fourth down plays i believe.

As nice of a win it was for the Who-Dey's, this loss tells me a TON about the steelers. Can't finish a dam game. UP 20 - 9 in the 4th and lose?

Said it on opening night. Where the hell did the Steelers running game go this year? Non existent. Big Ben can't win it himself and its tough to run out the clock when you don't have a running game.

Cincinnati had two TOs and spiked it.

Then they spiked again with one TO left IIRC.
