ryan maybe good but it helps to have ed reed to man the entire backfield alone and then using the extra player as another lb or safety or dlineman
really depends how he drafts.

Lets all hope he has Brett Farve at the controls in 2009.
i bet he agreed to have favre if he comes back and probably one of the reasons he got the job.

Another possible 3-4 Defense? Good thing we have alot of picks coming to us in the upcoming Draft.

Wonder if he'll throw things at people who disagree with him like his old man did too... :disagreement:

Good signing for the Jets, IMHO. I'm not concerned, though. I am more worried about how BB will improve our defense. We have some holes to fill, IMO.

There once was another great defensive mind from Baltimore that went on to be a head coach. I believe his team is in the toilet at the moment.

I do think Ryan is a good DC, but how he will do as the main man, remains to be seen. Hasnt worked out so well for Coach Lewis

Ryan is a good pick up for the Jets. The problem is that the Jets have no QB, a horrible cap structure, and not as much talent as they should have for the efforts. Not to mention some of their bigger priced acquisitions are on the downside of their careers. Add the fact Thomas Jones is close to the point where he could hit the age wall (as soon as this season).

Ryan can turn the Jets around, but I think they are already at a point where they have to rebuild.

Yeah, but between their owner and Corky Tannenbaum, I wonder if the first order of business is to handcuff him. They have at least two guys who would transition well to 4-3, and it might make Gholston go "un-bust".

I still want to see Brady and Favre on the field together, next year might be my chance!

Down with the Jets. Like... more down.

I agree. You mentioned Marvin Lewis.

Also, Tony Dungy was a defensive genius in Tampa. He was going to bring that to the Colts. Or how about Brian Billick, an offensive genius with the Vikings. Does anyone remember all those scoring machines in Baltimore?

The point is that it's all about personnel and your front office needs to be in synch with the coach. That's why I'm glad the x-mas tree is still running the show in East Rutherford.
