2. Chad Pennington's performance on Sunday validates the Jets' decision to jettison him for Brett Favre. Pennington does a lot of things well and will take you to a certain point. But come the postseason, he runs into defenses that are too good to beat with his conservative style. Pennington was never going to lead New York to the Super Bowl. Favre wasn't the answer for the Jets either, but at least they can start over now, both at head coach and quarterback.
EDIT:Not one mention of the colts losing in SD after being the team no one wanted to face

I didn't bother to click on the article, but what kind of pretzel logic does one have to use to summize that dumping a QB that ended up winning the division and going to the playoffs is better than paying three times more money for a QB that nets you third place in that same division with no playoffs? That end result "validates their decision to jettison (Pennington) for Favre." Huh?

It's the same sort of folks that believe climate change is man-made. They start with the final idea, and then arrange/bend the data to reach the result they want. Doesn't matter what the actual data says, or what others tell them, they simply drop the "inconvenient" data sets or file it away somewhere deep in the theory, and then proclaim "SEE! WE told you it was true!"

The Anti-Pennington crowd is exactly like that. Cherry pick the data to fit the pre-determined result.
