Fact is...multiple, not one or two, Jets players are critical of Favre's elitism and lack of preparation. Secondly, observing The Annointed One on the field reveals a continuing penchant to improvise often leading to the spectacular...success AND more often failure, but washed over by the media rump swabs. Most of Favre's playoff runs this century have ended in massive INT fests. Contrast this to say Brady's ending performances and tell me how 'great' Favre is. He's a decidedly above avg NFL QB with a taste for the spectacular play, however it may turn out. It's all about him, NOT the team's success. Once away from a superior coach who can control him, he is a detriment.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

Jones was just on ESPN and says the quotes were taken out of context.. He was asked general questions about teammates not performing well, not specifically Brett.. The 'win as a team, lose as a team' comment also was not about Favre.. .. He says none of the questions specifically were about Favre other than the interceptions.. Is this spin? There are a lot of articles out there about the Jets not being happy with their quarterback and his interaction with the team..

"If somebody is not playing well, they need to come out of the game," Thomas Jones told Hot 97 FM. "You're jeopardizing the whole team because you're having a bad day. To me, that's not fair to everybody else. You're not the only one on the team. So when you get to the wire and somebody is just giving the game up, I mean, it's just not [fair]."
"If he's dedicated and he wants to come back and do this, and do it the right way ... and be here when we're here in training camp and the minicamps and working out with us ... then I'm fine with it," Kerry Rhodes said. "But don't come back if it's going to be half-hearted or he doesn't want to put the time in with us."
A veteran Jets player, quoted anonymously by Newsday, described Favre as a "distant" teammate who, when at the Jets' practice facility, spent his down time away from teammates in an office specially designated for him.
"There was a lot of resentment in the room about him. He never socialized with us, never went to dinner with anyone," the player told Newsday.
Thomas says that was taken out of context, that he wasn't referring to Favre, etc... There's already a thread on this in the NFL forum.

Much as I can't stand Favre, the Jets (particularly the anonymous one) are looking like a bunch of whiny pussies who don't have what it takes to get to the playoffs. I wonder if Jones knows how much the mere presence of Favre under center helped him get to the Pro Bowl?

Agreed, they are starting to sound like Chargers players and fans who whine and cry about everything. I guess that is what happens when you fail from over-inflated expectations...
By the way, a previous poster was right, the exact article is already in the NFL forum, so my apologies to all.
