Default Colts @ Jaguars game discussion [NFL Network] (Pats Playoff Implications)

Colts (10-4) @ Jaguars (5-9)
Game Center

Patriots playoff implications...

Pats & Ravens go 2-0 / Colts go 0-2
A: Patriots get 6th seed, make playoffs. (If Pats don't win division)
B: Colts do not make playoffs.

Pats go 2-0 / Ravens go 1-1 (Or Less) / Colts go 0-2
A: Patriots get 5th seed, Colts get 6th seed. (If Pats don't win division)*
B: Patriots would HOST Colts in AFC Championship game, instead of going to. (If both advanced that far)
C: Patriots would play 4th seed in 1st round, instead of 3rd seed.
*Colts could miss playoffs, depending on common games with either Jets/Dolphins

Jaguars/Titans do happen to be two of only four teams to have beat the Colts this year, so it's not impossible.

Go Jags!

I agree, things could get interesting though if they do lose tonight then have to play the Titans in week 17.

Which of course means that if the Jags can win tonight we need to root for Pittsburgh again this weekend so the Titans have something to play for vs the Colts, lest Fisher return the favor and give Dungy the game.

Of course, we are all counting on the Cowboys to take care of business Saturday.

But if for some reason they don't, this game could end up being pretty significant.

And another thing, if the Colts lose this one and we win out (as we need to) we'd have home-field advantage if we were to meet in the AFC Championship game once again...

Another extra reason to root against the Colts, that might actually help the Pats?

We'll get to root for the Jags tonight and then again next week when they play BALT.

If the Ravens do not lose one of their next two games, the only way we get in the playoffs as a Wild Card is if the Colts lose out. (@ Jaguars, vs Titans)

I really don't think the Jags can beat the Colts, they are so inconsistent and have no team chemistry. We also know that Jeff Fisher is going to lie down and let the Colts win, so I'm hoping that the Cowboys beat the Ravens, giving us a shot at the other WC spot.

Damn, I'm getting a headache trying to figure out who to root for and against!

This offseason, it's almost like Belichick is saying, "I'm never going to let that happen again."
