I think if Kirk Ferentz thought really highly of him he could have convinced BB he was worth the Two. Instead we get one of the fastest College players....In BB you should trust.

Sounds like an Asante-type player from the descriptions. I'm excited about the pick.

Belichick and Pelio have been real good at finding talented CBs Asante in the Fourth, Hobbs in the third, Gay undraftes, and this kid is taken in the 2nd I suspect Beoli think real high of him.

From the NFL combine site:

Compares to Eliis Hobbs ...

http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/...heatley?id=328

Seriously ... he was considered the top man to man CB ... so in BB I trust and the 3-cone ... Belichick loves that freaking 3-cone. 6.74 ... 2nd fastest CB. Taking averages of the measurables he was like the 3rd all around CB at the combine.

The more I read about this kid the more excited I get about his ability. He is smart, very fast, played multiple positions, has all kinds of accolades mentioned about him by his coach.

Speed cannot teachspeed and he has it - a track star.

Had lots of picks and seems to have a real nose for the ball as he always breaks up pass plays. Says he never misses tackles in the open field. Will contribute from day one as a kick returner.

I think he turns out to be a real good player....maybe the steal of the draft.

19th best CB according to the non-NFL guys. One of 2 things is going on here:

1. Incredible reach, or
2. Media wrong.

He might be the guy they wanted. But damn.

Sure, in BB I trust. Media wrong, therefore, is the answer (or they expected a dozen or more CBs to be picked before they picked again) LOL
