That Schefter quote gave me the chills. Maybe it's all a grand conspiracy so he drops to Miami at #32.
Pony, I totally agree with you...and I'm one of the card-carrying Groves fanatics.

He *does* make me nervous. Rationally, he has enough question marks that I should be backing away. Yet I also believe he's the best pure pass-rusher in this draft and could be a true impact player. So maybe there's an element of wishful thinking -- I know the Pats have been checking Groves out VERY thoroughly, so I want them to pick him because that will mean they felt comfortable with all the mysterious question marks. But of course, that's pointless reasoning: "whoever they pick is the guy I want because that means he's the guy they want!"

What we've got to love about Groves as NE fans is the fact that he's actually played in a 3-4 scheme already, so he's already familiar with some of the intricacies. His rookie curve wouldnt be as high as other rookie 'backers. I really like the guy's demeanor, much more than Gholston. Groves just has an air of nasty attitude about him that you can see in his eyes. Gholston doesnt strike me as having that mean streak. And Im just not sure you can teach that.
