"Daily draft buzz… With St. Louis now effectively on the clock after Miami signed Michigan OT Jake Long, there are some rumblings that New Orleans might make a push to move from the tenth pick in the draft up to #2 to get LSU DT Glenn Dorsey, a local favorite who would also fill the Saints’ biggest need. Unfortunately, though, it could cost the Saints their #1 pick in 2009 along with the tenth selection this year to swap spots with the Rams this weekend, at least according to the NFL trade value chart, however, it is possible the Rams, who want to move down and likely will have no other offers, may take substantially less. On the other hand, if Dorsey isn’t selected second overall, then Atlanta is set to pounce on the former Tigers’ star. In that case, there have been some rumors that if the Falcons can land Dorsey with the #3 pick, then they might consider sending all three of their second-round picks - the 34th, 37th and 38th picks - to New England for the 7th pick if Boston College QB Matt Ryan was still on the board. There had also been some speculation that whether Ryan is on the board or not when Kansas City picks 5th that the Chiefs are leaning toward taking an offensive lineman, either Boise State OT Ryan Clady or more likely Virginia G/T Branden Albert, although both might be considered reaches at that point. As a result of the trade that sent franchised DE Jared Allen to Minnesota for a package that includes the 17th pick this year, though, the Chiefs may look at a DE like Vernon Gholston of Ohio State, or even Virginia’s Chris Long if the latter somehow dropped that far, with the 5th pick and then use the Vikings’ pick to address the offensive line."

3 high 2nd's --- Yes please!
I'm doubtfall Ryan lasts until 7, but I can't wait to see what happens.
Re: Atlanta/Pats buzz.....If Dorsey falls to Falcons
Well, if Ryan gets past the Falcons, the only way he's not on the board at 7 IMO is if someone else trades down before us. Because obviously the Raiders aren't drafting him, I don't think the Chiefs will, they seem to like Croyle, and the Jets, while they should, probably won't and will take C Long, Gholston, or McFadden instead.

If Ryan falls to the Jets, and nobody makes them an offer they can't refuse, I think they take him. I don't see them trading up for him, but I think they like him enough to draft him at #6.

This was just something that Todd McShay threw out there, he had no basis for it. It was just his idea. This won't happen. Atlanta is going to take Matt Ryan at #3 anyways, since Dorsey is going #2.

I agree. Comparisons of Ryan's status to B. Quinn are off base. He could even go #2 on a trade with St Louis. Many teams covet Ryan, among them Chicago, Carolina, Baltimore, NYJets, Atlanta, Detroit.

Bingo! They seem to really like Ryan. Then they will probably try to trade Chad or Clement.

Good luck trading Chad and his 8 million dollar arm. It would be easier to trade Clemens, but all they'd get are some peanuts.
I really think they will be taking McFadden. He gives you a formidable running game and it will take the pressure off of the QBs. Besides the millions of dollars he'll bring in on jersey sales.

Actually, as I slog through another mock, I think they could trade Clemens as part of a package to move up for Ryan.
