Default Reiss: If Kansas City trades Jared Allen it could affect New England's pick

If Jared Allen is traded then Kansas City probably looks for a top DE in round 1and Gholston may be targeted leaving NE without thier expected selection at #7 so it may be interesting to see what happens there and lets hope the Jared deal slows down till after the draft, that way KC is likely to take Albert on an OL which is horrible and then Gholston hopefully is still around by #7

We have no idea who NE actually wants. Do you think you do ? I think KC would target Ellis not Gholston but you're playing a losing game if you are trying to predict who Belichick really wants.

Someone should tell patchick that. And it won't be me.

I think Reiss is getting giddy over Gholston

Just a bit OT. Does anyone else see a little irony in the "post- loveboat" Vikings, who promised to clean up their act, now are pursuing Jared Allen?

Nonsense! I knew there was no way BB would take a running back in the first round in 2006! And Meriweather didn't have nearly the measurables for a Pats first-rounder! I knew it, I tell you!

I was literally, I mean LITERALLY, screaming for Manny Lawson in 2006 - I knew we'd take him; that's why, although I could see us one, I'm not buying into the "the Patriots really want Gholston or C. Long" stuff.

You know, this year I have no confidence at all in my assessments and feel like I'm just throwing random darts. Maybe that means this is the year I'll be right?

And we're picking 7th. We're used to picking in the 20s, you would think we'd have a clue this high up. Even if SF hadn't won it's last two and we were still #2 I think we STILL wouldn't be confident in who we'd take.

If the Patriots stay at #7 they WILL take Keith Rivers. So now you can put all of your first round stuff away and move on to the second round.
