Interesting statement...the Jets moved up and grabbed Revis 10 picks before the Patriots were on the board! What makes you think the Patriots drove that selection? Revis would have been long gone by #24 regardless...was there a story I missed of the Pats trying to make a move up for him?

The Jets had no pass rush at all last year, and it's not like Pace and Gholston wouldn't be able to play at the same time. Thomas they could always try to trade or just cut him or whatever. He blows. I can't imagine he would prevent the Jets from taking a potential star pass-rusher, especially on a team that has no pass rush.

The short answer is if the Jets think Gholston is the best value at #6 than that's who they will take. It will have nothing to do with Calvin Pace.

Default Why the jets WILL pick Gholston

Can a team have too many edge rushers? Give me a break!

Their LDE--nine-year veteran Shaun Ellis--hasn't really panned out and his speed is declining. I figure they're going for Gholston unless the Arkansas RB or the BC QB is available at 6.

Plus, they would love to give us the shaft. They'd positively gloat.

Trade down and go for the second most explosive offensive player right out of the box: Michigan State big play receiver Devon Thomas. And collect some more picks where the real value is, second through fourth rounds.

Go Pats!

I agree that the jets won't pick Gholston. That's because he won't available.
