Why do so many people spell his name with two R's?
He was a first round pick, and the name is on the back of his jersey.

Avril's a likely second round pick, so it would seem he's likely not going to be available for one of those second day selections.
Thats a possibility, I'd say he is an early 3rd round pick (2nd day starting this year)

Well, it is not as if we saw him on the field that much last year to get a good look. I chalk it up to the same reason so many would put an "s" at the end of Samuel.
Anyway, I would doubt drafting an inside linebacker in the first round, since there seems to be lacking true first round talent for that position. I could see Rivers if the team trades down. But I would greater expect a OLB/DE. Based on free agent spending we know the FO will pay for guys to go and knock down the QB. Colvin being gone would suggest another guy is needed.
I would still think the logical thing would be OLB in rd 1, CB in rd 2, then start mining rounds 3-5 for some ILB.
Truth be told, none of us (including PFW) have any clue what the Pats will do but in this case I agree with them, I think the Pats will choose an OLB at #7 (Long, Gholston, Harvey, Groves).
I disagree with the premise of your article, as of right now I think they take a OLB in round 1 and then at least one more in rounds 3-5.

Bill's predictable unpredictability is fun to be around... I don't disagree that we may draft multiple LB's rounds 3-5 or even if we trade down in Round 1. I just think at #7 and #62 we won't get the value that BB needs at the LB position.

Agree. IMO, AD will return to ILB, at least on 1st & 2nd downs, and share calls with Tedy. His acquisition labels him as the next captain after a yr of getting the system down. A rookie on 1st & 2nd should function and we'll have to live with a few mistakes in setting the edge. It is imperative they draft a LB candidate with more up-side than has been done in the past. 2nd day LB draftees have proven to be little more than adequate STers.
