Now a full year under Saban's belt as HC, are there any prospects from U of Alabama that could be on the Pats radar?

S/CB Simeon Castille (6' 195lbs) [they interviewed him at the Combine]

a 4.7 40 at the combine and off the field issues, on top of being 6'+ he doesn't sound like a pats type of player.

What about Wallace Gilberry? It looks like when Saban showed up his value went from undraftable to midround. Give him a few years under BB he could be a good pick.

DJ Hall perhaps. Seems to have some character issues though.

Hall spent most of the season in Saban's doghouse. He lost playing time to Brown and other WRs in 2007.
Wallace Gilberry is one player that exceeded Saban's expectations. I'm not sure if he is fast enough for OLB in the NFL, but he did lead college football in TFL. The senior Safety for Alabama is another that played well, Alabama seemed to slide when he got hurt last season. He could be a UDFA signee. Last edited by Ochmed Jones; 03-24-2008 at 03:33 PM. |

Just as important, BB has Saban and Meyer as his SEC scouts.

Good point. I am very interested to see if word leaks of the Pats working out/interviewing Harvey and/or Groves a second time before the draft.
If the Jets are dialed in on Gholston, then BB will be looking at plan B for a pass rushing OLB. Last edited by Ochmed Jones; 03-24-2008 at 03:50 PM. |

I know what you mean, but you asked who might be on their radar, and Castille obviously is...
