Default Contact With Draftees

Can the teams send playbooks to their draftees?

Can other team members send playbooks to patriot draftees and work with them (especially in helping them learn the playbook?

I understand that the rooks aren't signed, but they never are. In normal years, there is lots and lots of contact before a draftee signs.

For example from another team, I would certainly expect Peyton Manning to work with his current and draftee receivers and centers to the degree that he is allowed to do so.

From what I've read in the reporting, once drafted, teams are forbidden to have contact with the players.

I did read where one prospect was talking about making contact with veterans from whichever club drafts him and getting a copy of the playbook from them, as well as meeting up with them for advice and workouts.

Generally speaking players are not allowed to retain playbooks after the season. We all know some manage to. That said, the playbook is team property and any player caught sharing it would be subject to discipline eventually... In the past draftees did sign base contracts immediately that covered them in the event of injury in the interim between being drafted and signing their actual individual contract (rookie camps and the like). This time around they won't even have that, so if they are injured working out with their new teamates whose union was only to willing to throw them under the bus bonus wise...they'd be you know what out of luck if they were later unable to make a roster or even PS....
